| The National Museum of the Marine Corps Store is located at 18900 Jefferson Davis Highway, Triangle, VA 22172. Admission is free. The museum is open daily from 0900 (9 am) to 1700 (5 pm) daily. It is closed on Christmas Day. Free parking is available in front of the museum for both private vehicles and tour buses.
Located inside the National Museum of the Marine Corps is the Museum Store. Visitors enter through the main entrance, go through security, and located to the visitor’s right is the store. Hours of operation are 0900-1700 (9am-5pm) daily.
Inside the Museum Store visitors can find Marine Corps related gift items, memorabilia, books, clothing, collectibles, toys, CD’s and DVD’s, pins, patches, bumper stickers, posters, snacks, and much more. Visitors can drop into the store before visiting the museum exhibits or afterwards.
Book signings are held inside or adjacent to the Museum Store. Primarily book signing occur between 1100-1400 hours, but special events may run at other times. Check the events page for details. All pre-orders with requests for an author’s signature are final sales and cannot be returned or refunded, so check and double check the short inscription you wish the author to make (if any).
The museum exhibit experience continues into the Museum Store which contains several highly popular displays. One popular exhibit in the Museum Store is the Wall of Dogtags, a wall of donated dog tags from veterans. Another popular exhibit is a 5-foot tall reconstruction of the Iwo Jima Memorial using over 100,000 Lego building blocks.
Hungry visitors can buy snacks within the store, enjoying packaged high-energy MRE (Meals, Ready-to-Eat) snacks. Other visitors prefer to experience a reconstructed colonial period Tun Tavern featuring grill-style food, drinks, and special dishes, or the Mess Hall for cafeteria-style meals upstairs on the second floor as dine-in experiences.
