
 Col Donna J. Neary, combat artist, will be signing her prints at the NMMC Museum Store on Saturday, May 23

Col Donna J. Neary (USMC Ret) served for 24 years in the United States Marine Corps Reserve as a combat artist, her many assignments sending her to the field in the mountains of South Korea, civil-war torn Somalia, and north of the Arctic Circle. She has been the recipient of various awards in addition to two Navy commendation medals. Neary's works hang in the Pentagon, the Commandant's House in Washington, D.C., the National Museum of the Marine Corps and various other museums, The Marine Corps Association, the U.S. Marine Corps, and other public and private collections in the U.S. and the United Kingdom.
Her work also hangs in the permanent collection of the National Museum of the Marine Corps and includes "Liberty Rising 2001" and "Iwo Jima – 19 February 1945".
Col Neary will be in the NMMC Museum Store on Saturday, May 23, 2009, 11:00am-2:00pm to meet the public. Signed giclee reproductions of "Liberty Rising 2001" will be available for purchase as well as signed and numbered prints of "Iwo Jima – 19 February 1945". |
